Today was really a tiring day, partially because I slept late in the morning and woke up early. Less than 6 hours of sleep for today. It was a real tiring and long day.

To start the day off was water training. The training was just pure dope! I went up in a K4 for the first time! I was really excited when coach decided to put me in a K4, it was : cool, I’m going to get to try a K4. K4 was fun, so I was with Joey, Dory and Lynn. Our first configuration was Dory as the front man, me, Lynn and then Joey. Then we were paddling sets of 250m and the direction was just haywire. The boat was also tilting towards the left, but at least we were all able to paddle, like all four of us paddling and we only capsized 3 times in total for the whole day. After which coach changed the configuration to Dory as front man still, Joey, me and then Lynn. The direction was still haywire but maybe because of the water in the K4, the boat wasn’t really tilting as much anymore. And I tried a kick in the K4 to balance it, it was WOW!!

Ok, so training was just K4 250m sets and then we all went down in a T1 and paddled 250m for strokes and we did burst and I tried to maintain. But my shoulder was giving up on me, and I could only keep telling myself it’s going to end soon to keep the drive within. At least I did finish everything that was given to me! =)

We went to bathe but only to find out that the toilets at the stadium and gym were closed, so Joey, Ee Wern, Zixin and me went to Yishun swimming complex to bathe. And I didn’t bring a towel, I had to resort to borrowing Ee Wern’s towel! THANKS EE WERN A LOT! We had lunch at North Point’s food court, saw the seniors and nothing more? Haha, ok, I shall move on to write the spoiler for Phobia 2! =)

Basically, Phobia 2 have five parts, as if any of you don’t know.

The first part was named “Novice”. This part of the movie features this boy who committed a crime via the throwing of stones into windshield of incoming cars while him and his friend, accomplice, was on a motorbike. After the throwing of the stones, they normally steal the mobile phone of the car owner. The story went on showing him becoming a monk under the instructions of his mother. Nothing much was explained to why his mother did this to him in the beginning of the movie.

He was considered to be a rebellious kid, and he went on to eat the offerings and because of that he’ll suffer karma. The other monks who were trying to help him brought him to a cave where the priest normally meditate, and asked him to meditate there too. But I guess because of his guilt and the scary things happening around him in the cave, he left the cave and started running in the forest.

Only here did the remaining parts of the story begins to reveal. It appears to be his father that he threw the stone at. Not only did it cause a crash, it killed his father too. The whole story ended with the boy getting stoned so badly his face was beyond recognition. And I think he transformed into a palm tree, the tree the people in the village use to do rituals.

The story continued with a part called “Ward”. In this part, this young man was involved in a accident and injured both his legs so badly, I think he broke both his legs and was moved into a shared ward with an old man. After the family decided to pull away the plug for oxygen for him, weird things starts to happen to him.

Offering was made for the old man the night before he died, and in the middle of the night, the young man heard crunching sound. He went to pull the curtain separating the two beds. Suddenly, he sees the old man on top of him trying to strangle him to death. The nurse came in to calm him down and gave him a shot of tranquilizer.

Nothing good happened to him and he woke up only to see the old man standing on him again. This time, he wasn’t strangling him, he was literally vomiting blood on him. Pure gross because it came out of an old man’s mouth. The story ended with the old man scolding the nurse bitch and seeing the young man being wheeled out on a wheelchair with the nurse being in cahoots with them. (the old man possessed the young man)

Part three of the story “Backpackers”. A young Japanese couple went to Thailand to backpack. After several unsuccessful attempts by the girl to hitchhike, the guy decided to show the girl how the job should be done. He pulled out money and decided to hitchhike with money. A truck stopped for them and agreed to bring them to their destination.

Suddenly, weird banging noises could be heard at the back, and the driver decided to stop and see what’s wrong. Upon opening the back of the truck, all the passengers at the back were dead. Nothing was say towards why these people were at the back but as the couple realise something isn’t right, they went down to check only to see the driver and the guy moving corpse.

Out of the blue, the corpses started to stand and attacked the Japanese guy who was holding a gun. And it attacked him by biting, similar to what you see in zombie movies. So it comes the escaping part and in the end all died but with a twist at the ending. The guy who was considered “nice” was actually a drug trafficker. He forced all the people who died to swallow wraps of drugs including a small boy who eventually caused his death.

Forth story “Salvage” is about a female boss of a second hand car dealer. The story started out with her trying to sell a customer a car but there was this lady who drove into the place furious about her car. She threw the keys at her and told her that she was a liar for lying that the car has never been in an accident before however the car nearly cause her child to be killed.

The show just went on showing her alone in the office looking through the makeovers of the cars. Truth was beneath the new upholstery and shiny repainted exteriors each car holds a horrible past. With fatal accidents that gave rise to cars crashed so badly, the boss of the garage manages to do a makeover for all of them and make them look so new and from there sell these cars to other buyers.

Weird thing started to happen after this, with her child suddenly going missing in her garage, she decided to go look for her son all by herself in the middle of the night in a garage filled with cars which were involved in accidents. After seeing a man trying to sell her garlands, and a woman who had her stomach split open with her stomach and intestines flowing out after, she freaks out and drives away in her car. After her engine “chokes” she stops and went out of the car.

After seeing a shoe of her son on the road with blood dripping out beneath the engine, she lifts up the lid to see her son in the engine, dead.

Last story “In The End” was about the filming of the movie “Alone 2”. Alone is a horror movie about a twin (check up Wikipedia if you’re not sure, it’s nice too). Four guys were involved as the filming crew were friends. While shooting for the last scene, the ghost of the last scene for the movie falls so ill that she fainted while being in a scene where she has to crawl out from the dark. She was rushed to the hospital by one of the guys. At the hospital, the doctor says that she was dead. However at the filming scene, she was present and wants to finish up her scene in the movie.

The guy at the hospital then calls back to notify the other friends about her death, with the walkie talkie still switched on, they freaked out after hearing it. And left the ghost with the female lead actress. Upon deciding to continue filming as they think that is the reason to why the ghost came back, they move on to the filming by themselves.

The middle part is the funny part and they went off in a car and saw their friend. After getting their friend in the car, they sped off onto the highway to escape from the ghost, they saw the van of their friend, crashed. With the friend starting to bleed profusely at his head, they think he was also dead, just that he didn’t realise it.

With a twist of the story, both the ghost and the friend weren’t dead, it was just plain miscommunication. The doctor at the hospital actually had another twin. The ghost wasn’t dead, she just sneaked out of the hospital to return to the set to continue to filming. Neither was the guy friend dead his van was crashed when he wasn’t in the van.

But still, this is a horror film without a happy ending, all five of them were involved in a car accident and die. Why? Because the female lead actress was dosing off while driving, and yes the car crashed into them.
